DJ Sophenom, short for Sophenomenal, a name she came up with during a freestyle rap, is a Los Angeles-based open-format DJ, mixer, and turntablist with 23 years of experience. She specializes in Hip-Hop, Rap, R&B, Rock, Pop, House, Dance, and Classics, with an approach shaped by the room rather than a fixed format.

Her career includes over 10 years of radio experience, beginning as a founding member of Golden Eagle Radio at Cal State L.A., where she helped build the station’s early programming and DJ community. She has since been heard on a range of major and independent platforms, including POWER 106, The World Famous KROQ, SiriusXM (Pitbull’s Globalization), 97.1 AMP Radio, Traklife Radio, DASH Radio, and LIT96, contributing mixes, hosting, and on-air programming across multiple formats. Her work has also included live events and collaborations with K-Earth 101, 94.7 The Wave, 93.5 KDAY, and 93.1 Jack FM.

As a live DJ, Sophenom has opened for and shared lineups with artists and DJs including D-Nice, DJ Shortee, Egyptian Lover, Battlecat, DJ Nu-Mark, GZA, DJ Vice, Richard Vission, and KidCutUp. Her performance history includes DJing for POWER 106 at Rolling Loud, playing at Dodger Stadium for Yasiel Puig, hosting on DJCityTV, and performing multiple times at NAMM for the ‘Scratch Like A Girl’ Showcase for Technics x Stokyo at the Anaheim Convention Center.

Additional appearances include KROQ’s Almost Acoustic Christmas at Honda Center, POWER 106 events at the Forum and FivePoint Amphitheatre, the L.A. Auto Show for Galpin Auto Sports at the L.A. Convention Center, Staples Center, and participation in DJ competitions such as the SuperGirl Surf Festival in Oceanside, CA. In 2018, she was recognized in the DJaneTop 100.

In addition to performing, DJ Sophenom is an instructor at Point Blank Music School and holds an MBA with a Marketing concentration, bringing a practical understanding of audiences, branding, and live event environments. She currently lives and works in Los Angeles and is available for corporate events, brand activations, private events, and nightlife bookings.
